Friday’s Cocktail, July 29, 2011

You know those days when you just can’t wait to get home and mix yourself a stiff drink?

All my days are like that. It’s probably your fault.

Friday is always a special case, however. While I may occasionally be railroaded into working a weekend shift, my usual (and usually accepted) answer to the question, “Ruby, could you work four hours on Saturday?” is a succinct, “No.”

If you, like me, are celebrating the beginning of a long weekend, please join me by mixing up one of these beauties.

Italian Martini, a fine way to kick off your Friday afternoon.
2 1/2 oz gin
1/2 oz amaretto
Stir or shake with ice & strain into a cold glass
You’re welcome.

Now go away so I can get back to reading this obscure text on the library of Alexandria.
